Heavy to intense rains pour over Zambales, 6 other areas on Sunday afternoon

Parts of Zambales, Tarlac, Pampanga, Laguna, Batangas, Queon, and Cavite experienced heavy to intense rainshowers with lightning and strong winds on Sunday afternoon, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:09 p.m., PAGASA said that the following areas were subjected to heavy to intense rains, that may persist within 2 to 3 hours and may affect nearby areas:

• Zambales (Candelaria, Botolan, Masinloc)
• Tarlac (San Clemente, Mayantoc, San Jose, Capas, Bamban)
• Pampanga (Mabalacat, Angeles, Floridablanca, Porac, Bacolor, Lubao, Santa Rita, Guagua, San Fernando)
• Laguna (Calamba, Los Banos, Bay)
• Batangas (Santo Tomas, Tanauan)
• Quezon (Tiaong, Dolores)
• Cavite (Trece Martires, Indang, General Trias) 

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, as well as Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, and Rizal may experience moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds within the next 2 to 3 hours.
