Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rain showers over Visayas, Mindanao

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) is affecting the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its 24-hour weather forecast on Thursday afternoon.

This means cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be expected over Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Palawan, and Basilan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of the country due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters are possible across the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:40 a.m. on Friday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
