Rains expected across PH due to Habagat, thunderstorms —PAGASA
Heavy rains may be experienced in different parts of the country for the next 24 hours due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat and localized thunderstorms, state weather bureau PAGASA said on Tuesday.
In its public weather forecast for the day, PAGASA said Habagat is affecting the western section of Luzon while localized thunderstorms are affecting the rest of the country.
Ilocos Region and Zambales are expected to have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms that may lead to flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila, the rest of Cordillera, Tarlac, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides are possible.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms that may also lead to flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
For wind and coastal water conditions, Luzon is expected to have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 2.5 meters.
Visayas and Mindanao may have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters of up to 2.1 meters.
