Orange rainfall warning raised over Zambales, Bataan

State weather bureau PAGASA on Thursday morning issued an orange rainfall warning over Zambales and Bataan due to the enhanced Southwest Monsoon or Habagat. 

With an orange warning level as of 8 a.m., PAGASA said flooding is “still threatening” in Zambales and Bataan, thus residents need to be prepared for possible evacuation.

Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning was hoisted over Tarlac and Pampanga, meaning residents need to be alert for possible flooding in flood-prone areas.

As of 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, PAGASA said that

Typhoon Carina left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 6:20 a.m. However, Carina will continue to enhance the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat that will bring moderate to intense rains over the western section of Luzon.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 is still in effect in Batanes. Strong winds from 39 to 61 km/h may be expected in the province within the next 36 hours, and wind impacts may result in minimal to minor threat to life and property.
