Red rainfall warning raised anew over Metro Manila


State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday issued another red rainfall warning over Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to the continuous rains caused by the Habagat which is being enhanced by Super Typhoon Carina. 

Here are the latest heavy rainfall warning from PAGASA issued at 5 p.m.

Red Warning Level (HAZARD: Serious FLOODING in flood-prone areas.)

  • Metro Manila
  • Rizal
  • Bataan
  • Zambales
  • Bulacan
  • Pampanga.

Orange warning level  (HAZARD: FLOODING is still THREATENING.)

  • Tarlac provincessociated with possible flood

Yellow warning level (HAZARD: FLOODING in flood-prone areas.)

  • Cavite
  • Batangas
  • Laguna
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Quezon(General Nakar, Real, Infanta, Mauban, Sampaloc)

PAGASA also said that light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are still expected over parts of Quezon within the next three hours.

This includes Candelaria, Dolores, San Antonio, Sariaya, Tiaong, Tayabas, Lucban, Lucena, Pagbilao, Agdangan, Alabat, Atimonan, Buenavista, Burdeos, Calauag, Catanauan, General Luna, Guinayangan, Gumaca, Jomalig, Lopez, Macalelon, Mulanay, Padre Burgos, Panukulan, Patnanungan, Perez, Pitogo, Plaridel, Polillo, Quezon, San Andres, San Francisco, San Narciso, Tagkawayan, and Unisan.

Tropical cyclone Carina has become even stronger and is now a Super Typhoon.

The National Capital Region was also placed under a state of calamity in light of the impact of the massive flooding caused by the Habagat and Super Typhoon Carina.
