PAGASA: Red rainfall warning up over 6 Luzon areas

A red heavy rainfall warning was raised over six areas in Luzon on Wednesday due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, according to state weather bureau PAGASA.

In its Heavy Rainfall Warning issued at 11 a.m., PAGASA said a red warning level was hoisted in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga and Zambales.

Serious flooding is expected in flood-prone areas, PAGASA said.

Orange warning level, meanwhile, was raised in Tarlac where flooding is still a threat.

Yellow warning level, on the other hand, was up over Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, Nueva Ecija and Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Mauban, Sampaloc). Flooding is expected in flood prone areas.

Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are affecting other areas of Quezon which may last for three hours, PAGASA added.
