LPA to bring cloudy skies, rains over Northern Palawan, Occidental Mindoro


The Low Pressure Area (LPA) will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thunerstorms over Northern Palawan and Occidental Mindoro that may cause flash floods and landlsides during heavy to intense rains on Friday, PAGASA reported.

As of 3 a.m., the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 135 kilometers west southwest of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.

Meanwhile, another LPA was estimated based on all available data at 880 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.

Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, and the rest of MIMAROPA will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to heavy rains.

Mindanao and the rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The western section of Southern Luzon will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

The rest of the country will have light to moderate wind speed moving in the southwest to southeast while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
