Heavy rains affect Metro Manila, 6 Luzon provinces

Parts of Metro Manila and six provinces in Luzon experienced moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds Thursday morning.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 10:29 a.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the affected areas are:

• Metro Manila (Valenzuela, Caloocan, Navotas, Malabon),
• Bulacan,
• Quezon (General Nakar),
• Batangas (Tingloy, Batangas City, Lobo),
• Bataan (Mariveles, Limay, Orion, Balanga, Pilar, Abucay, Orani, Samal, Hermosa),
• Pampanga (Apalit, San Simon, San Luis, Macabebe, Masantol), and
• Cavite (Naic, Ternate, Maragondon, Tanza, Rosario, Noveleta, Cavite City, Kawit)

The weather condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Rizal, and Laguna will also experience heavy rains within the next two to three hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
