Weather: LPA observed near Surigao City


State weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low pressure area (LPA) was seen 255 kms. east of Surigao City in Surigao del Norte on Tuesday afternoon.

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, the LPA was predicted to bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol region, Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Marinduque, and Romblon, PAGASA said in its weather bulletin.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms may be felt over Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Kalayaan Islands, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be seen over Metro Manila, Bataan, the rest of CALABARZON, and the rest of MIMAROPA due to the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

Localized thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters will be felt over the western section of Luzon.

The rest of the country will be having light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
