Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 8 Luzon provinces

Moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds are expected over Metro Manila and eight other provinces in Luzon Monday afternoon.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:29 p.m., state weather bureau PAGASA said the other affected areas are:

• Bataan,
• Cavite,
• Batangas,
• Laguna,
• Zambales,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Bulacan, and
• Rizal.

Currently experiencing heavy rains are Tagkawayan and Gumaca in Quezon province. The condition may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

The affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
