ITCZ, easterlies to bring clouds, rain showers over PH

An Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the easterlies will bring clouds and rain showers over parts of the country on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ affecting Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.

The Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon may expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies affecting the eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon. These areas may also have flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

The rest of the country on the other hand may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
