ITCZ affects Palawan, Western Mindanao

The Intertropical Convergence Zone and the easterlies will cause cloudy skies and rain showers, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon.

The ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Zamboanga Peninsula, Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Palawan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will be experienced over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Region due to the easterlies, while the rest of the country will also have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur due to these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
