Heavy rains expected over Metro Manila, 7 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and seven other provinces in Luzon are set to experience moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at: 1:38 p.m., PAGASA said the other affected areas are:

• Quezon,
• Laguna,
• Cavite,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Rizal,
• Batangas, and
• Bataan.

It added Bacolor, Santa Rita, Guagua, Minalin, Santo Tomas, San Simon, Apalit, Porac, Mabalacat, and Angeles in Pampanga; San Jose, Mayantoc, and San Clemente in Tarlac; Candelaria and Santa Cruz in Zambales; and Pulilan, Baliuag, and Plaridel in Bulacan experienced moderate to heavy rains and it may persist within two hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
