Metro Manila, 10 Luzon provinces experience heavy to intense rains —PAGASA

Metro Manila and 10 other provinces in Luzon experienced heavy to intense rains with lightning and strong winds Tuesday afternoon, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 1:14 p.m., the affected areas are:

• Quezon,
• Metro Manila (Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon, Navotas),
• Bulacan (Obando, Meycauayan, Marilao, Bocaue, Santa Maria, Balagtas, Pandi),
• Rizal (Jala-Jala, Cardona, Binangonan),
• Cavite (Ternate, Maragondon, Naic, Tanza, Rosario, General Trias, Imus, Kawit, Noveleta, Cavite City),
• Batangas (Nasugbu),
• Bataan (Mariveles, Limay, Bagac, Morong, Orion, Pilar),
• Zambales (Masinloc, Palauig, Iba, Botolan),
• Tarlac (Capas, Bamban),
• Nueva Ecija (Carranglan, Lupao, San Jose, Guimba, Quezon, Licab, Aliaga), and
• Laguna (Cavinti, Luisiana, Nagcarlan, Calauan, Victoria).

The condition may persist within two hours and affect nearby areas.

PAGASA also said moderate to heavy rains with lightning and strong winds are expected over Pampanga within the next two hours.

Affected residents are advised to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
