Scattered rain expected across the eastern PH -PAGASA

Weather service PAGASA said on Monday afternoon that the easterlies, or the winds from the Pacific Ocean, were affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao and not a low-pressure area.

“Wala tayong namo-monitor na low pressure area or bagyo sa loob o  malapit sa ating Philippine Area of Responsibility,” said PAGASA weather specialist Veronica Torres.

(No LPA was being monitored inside or near the PAR.)

Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms would thus prevail over the Bicol Region,  Quezon, Romblon, the Central Visayas, the Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao,  Caraga, and the Davao Region.

The rest of the country would meanwhile experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Winds would be light to moderate across the country, with coastal conditions expected to be slight to moderate.

Sunrise over Metro Manila on Tuesday would be at 5:29 a.m. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
