Southwest Monsoon to bring rain showers over parts of Luzon

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the western section of Southern Luzon on Monday and will bring rain showers over parts of Luzon, PAGASA said.

Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly result in flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila, Cavite, Batangas, Zambales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.

Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of the country meanwhile may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly result.

Coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the country.
