Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 6 Luzon provinces

Metro Manila and six other provinces are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 10:45 a.m., PAGASA said the other affected areas are:

• Rizal,
• Cavite,
• Bulacan,
• Zambales,
• Bataan, and
• Pampanga.

It said moderate to heavy rains are being experienced in Quezon (Catanauan, Buenavista, General Luna, Macalelon, Lopez); Batangas (Batangas City, Ibaan); and Laguna (San Pablo) which may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised the affected residents to take precautionary measures against flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
