Moderate to heavy rains expected over Metro Manila, other areas

Metro Manila and other areas are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds within the next two hours.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 2:41 p.m., PAGASA said other affected areas are Laguna, Rizal, and Bataan.

Meanwhile, torrential rain showers with lightning and strong winds are currently being experienced in:

• Nueva Ecija (San Jose, Lupao, Carranglan)
• Zambales (Santa Cruz, Candelaria, Masinloc, Palauig, Iba, Botolan, Cabangan, San Marcelino)
• Tarlac (Capas, Bamban, Mayantoc, San Clemente)
• Pampanga (Porac, Arayat, Santa Ana, Mexico, San Fernando, Apalit, Minalin, San Simon, San Tomas) 
• Bulacan (Calumpit)
• Cavite (Kawit, Cavite City, Noveleta)
• Quezon (Panukulan, Lucena, Pagbilao, Malunay) 
• Batangas (Lemery, Agoncillo, Santa Teresita, Taal, San Nicolas)

PAGASA said this may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.
