Thunderstorm advisory up over Metro Manila, 9 provinces

Metro Manila and nine other provinces are expected to experience moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong wind in the next two hours.

In a thunderstorm advisory issued 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, state weather bureau PAGASA said aside from the National Capital Region, to be affected are: 

• Tarlac,
• Pampanga,
• Bulacan,
• Nueva Ecija,
• Quezon,
• Laguna,
• Batangas,
• Cavite, and
• Rizal.

It added the heavy rains and strong winds are being experienced in Limay, Orion, Orani, Samal, Abucay, Balanga, and Pilar in Bataan; and Santa Cruz, Candelaria, and San Marcelino in Zambales.

The condition may persist within two hours and may affect nearby areas.

PAGASA advised the public to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards, including flash floods and landslides.—AOL, GMA Integrated News
