PAGASA continues to monitor active tropical cyclone near PAR

PAGASA on Saturday said it continues to monitor active tropical cyclone

Local weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday said it continues to monitor active tropical cyclone "Maliksi" last located 985 km west northwest of Extreme Northern Luzon.

PAGASA said the tropical depression had maximum sustained winds of 45 kph and gustiness of up to 75 kph and moving north northeastward at 20 kph as of 3 p.m.

Earlier, PAGASA said that on the low chance that the tropical cyclone enters the PAR on Sunday, it would be named “Butchoy.”

Meanwhile, the easterlies may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Philippines.

Possible flash floods and landslides may occur in several areas due to the said weather conditions.

Light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters may be felt over the country.
