Thunderstorm advisory issued for Metro Manila, 5 provinces

Metro Manila, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Laguna and Quezon may expect moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds in the next two to three hours, PAGASA said.

The weather bureau issued the thunderstorm advisory at 2:08 p.m.

As of posting, the above-mentioned conditions are also being experienced in:

• Zambales - Botolan, Iba, Palauig, Candelaria, San Marcelino;
• Bulacan - Santa Maria, Angat, Pandi, Norzagaray;
• Rizal - Rodriguez;
• Cavite - General Emilio Aguinaldo, Maragondon, Indang, Naic, Trece Martires, Magallanes; and
• Batangas - Nasugbu.

These conditions may persist within two hours and affect areas nearby, PAGASA said.

The public was advised to take the necessary precautions as there may be a threat of flash floods, landslides, and other hazards. —KG, GMA Integrated News
