Shear line, Amihan continue to affect parts of Luzon

A shear line is affecting the eastern parts of Southern Luzon as several areas in Northern and Central Luzon experience the effects of the Northeast Monsoon.

According to PAGASA's daily weather forecast on Thursday afternoon, the shear line may cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur.

The Northeast Monsoon may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, may have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods and landslides may occur in some areas as a result of the weather conditions.

The northern and eastern sections of the Philippines may face moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
