Cloudy skies, light rains forecast over Northern Luzon due to Amihan
Parts of Northern Luzon are under the effects of the Amihan or Northeast Monsoon, while the rest of the country is affected by the easterlies.
According to PAGASA's daily weather forecast on Friday afternoon, the Northeast Monsoon may bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora. It may also cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the Philippines.
Flooding and landslides may occur in some parts of the country as a result of the weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the northern and eastern sections of the country may feel moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas.
The rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
