Amihan to bring rains over Luzon, Visayas

The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting parts of Luzon and Visayas, according to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Wednesday afternoon.

PAGASA said Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Caraga and Davao Region may see cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of a low-pressure area.

The combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

Possible flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.

Meanwhile, Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao may experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of Mindanao is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:14 a.m. on Thursday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
