Amihan, LPA's trough to bring rains over parts of PH
The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting Luzon and Visayas while the trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will affect parts of Mindanao on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA with flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila, Visayas, and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao is moderate to strong moving in the northeast to east direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of Mindanao will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
