Amihan, easterlies continue to bring cloudy skies over PH

Cloudy skies are expected in several parts of the country due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan and easterlies, according to PAGASA.

In its Saturday forecast, the state weather bureau predicts cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be felt over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and Samar due to the easterlies.

The Northeast Monsoon, meanwhile, will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands.

PAGASA also forecasts partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains that will be experienced in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, Extreme Northern Luzon will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters as the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:16 a.m. on Sunday. —VAL, GMA Integrated News/ Jiselle Anne Casucian
