Cloudy skies, scattered rain over parts of Mindanao due to easterlies
The Northeast Monsoon is affecting Extreme Northern Luzon, while the easterlies prevail over the rest of the country.
According to PAGASA’s 24-hour weather forecast issued on Friday afternoon, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and Davao Region may experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms because of the easterlies.
The Northeast Monsoon may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.
The combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, Extreme Northern Luzon may experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
