Amihan, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting parts of extreme Northern Luzon, while the easterlies are affecting the eastern section of the country.
According to PAGASA's daily weather report on Friday afternoon, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Bohol, and Zamboanga del Norte may experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies.
The Northeast Monsoon may cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Batanes and Babuyan Islands, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned that flash floods and landslides may occur because of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the eastern section of the country may have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
