Easterlies to bring scattered rains over Eastern Visayas, Caraga
The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the easterlies will affect the eastern section of the country on Friday, PAGASA reported.
Eastern Visayas and Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for the eastern section of the country is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
