Northeast Monsoon to bring light rains over parts of Luzon
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting Northern and Central Luzon on Wednesday and will bring light rains, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Northern Samar, Eastern Samar, and the southern portion of Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the shear line and easterlies. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and the rest of Quezon may expect cloudy skies with light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.
Metro Manila, Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Central Luzon and Calabarzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.
The rest of the country on the other hand will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern section of the country, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
