Amihan, LPA bring rain over eastern Luzon, parts of Visayas and Mindanao
The Northeast Monsoon or Amihan will affect Luzon while the trough of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) will be felt in several parts of the Visayas and Mindanao.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Thursday afternoon, the trough of the LPA will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Mindanao, Central Visayas, Negros Occidental, and Southern Leyte.
The Amihan will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The rest of Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms because of the combined effects of the LPA and localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters, while the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:25 a.m. on Friday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/RF, GMA Integrated News
