Northeast Monsoon, LPA trough to bring rains
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring rains over some areas on Monday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Caraga and Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.
Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, Bicol Region, and Eastern Visayas may expect cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.
The rest of Mindanao meanwhile may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA or localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may occur.
Coastal waters will be rough in Extreme Northern Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao.
The rest of the country will be moderate to rough in the rest of the country.
