Amihan, shear line to bring cloudy skies, rains over parts of PH
Both the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the shear line will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of the country, according to PAGASA's daily weather forecast issued at 4 p.m. Friday.
The shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Southern Leyte, Eastern Samar, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region.
The Northeast Monsoon may bring cloudy skies with light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora, and Quezon; cloudy skies with rains over the rest of Eastern Visayas; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon and Visayas.
The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers or thunderstorms because of localized thunderstorms.
Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the western and eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao will have strong winds with rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country is forecast to have moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:25 a.m. on Saturday. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
