Shear line to bring scattered rains over parts of Southern Luzon

The shear line will bring scattered rains over the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the effects of the northeast monsoon (amihan) will be felt over the rest of Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque, Aklan, Capiz, and Northern Samar will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with flash floods or landslides occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon with possible isolated flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon and Visayas is strong and moving northeastward while coastal waters will be rough.

The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
