Philippines to experience rains due to Northeast Monsoon

State weather bureau PAGASA on Monday said it is not monitoring any low pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but rains may persist across parts of the country due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

“Wala po tayong binbantayan na LPA o bagno s? loop ng PAR at ganun din po sa may Dagat Pasipiko (No LPA or storm is being monitored over PAR and the Pacific Ocean),” said weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio.

In its 4p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said the Amihan may bring cloudy skies with light rains in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over the rest of the country due to the localized thunderstorms.

Strong winds and rough waters may be experienced over the seaboards of Northern Luzon while moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal water conditions may prevail over the rest of the country.
