Northeast Monsoon to bring light rain over Northern Luzon


The Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with light rain over Northern Luzon, according to state weather bureau PAGASA on Saturday.

Based on the 4 p.m. forecast, Apayao, Batanes, and Cagayan including the Babuyan Islands would be affected by the Northeast Monsoon but with no significant impact expected.

The Ilocos Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region would have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also caused by the Northeast Monsoon.

Meanwhile, SOCCSKSARGEN will also have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of an low-pressure area.

Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rains were expected.

PAGASA noted that localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country

Wind, coastal waters

Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao would have strong winds moving east to northeast, while coastal waters would be rough.

The rest of the country would have moderate to strong winds moving east to northeast. The coastal waters would be moderate to rough.
