Northeast Monsoon, LPA trough to bring rains over parts of PH

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) and the trough or extension of a low pressure area (LPA) will bring rains over several areas on Sunday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorm due to the trough of the LPA. Moderate to at times heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides.

The Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may possibly occur.

Coastal waters will be rough in the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, and moderate to rough in the rest of the country.

Sunrise will be at 6:25 a.m. while sunset will be at 5:49 p.m. —KG, GMA Integrated News
