Shear line, Amihan will bring rains over parts of the country
The shear line will be affecting the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will affect Luzon and Visayas on Tuesday, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
Northern Mindanao, Caraga, and the Davao Region will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the monsoon with no significant impact.
Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon with no significant impact.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the shear line and localized thunderstorms with possible flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon and the eastern section of the rest of the country is strong and moving northeastward, and coastal waters will be rough.
The rest of the country will experience moderate to strong wind speed moving northeastward while coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
