Amihan, shear line cause rains over parts of PH
A shear line is affecting the eastern sections of Visayas, while the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan is affecting Luzon and the rest of Visayas, state weather bureau PAGASA said Friday.
In its 4 p.m. daily weather forecast, PAGASA said cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands due to a shear line.
Amihan, on the other hand, may cause cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Western Visayas.
Localized thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over parts of Mindanao.
Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will experience strong winds with rough waters, while the rest of Luzon and Visayas will be having moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
Mindanao is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:24 a.m. on Saturday.—Jiselle Anne Casucian/AOL, GMA Integrated News
