Amihan, easterlies to bring light rains over Luzon

The northeast monsoon (amihan) will be affecting both Northern and Central Luzon while the effects of the shear line will be felt in the eastern section of Southern Luzon on Thursday, PAGASA reported.

The Bicol Region and Quezon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line with possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Cagayan Valley and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon with no significant impact.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Extreme Northern Luzon will experience strong wind speed moving northeastward with rough coastal waters.

For the rest of Luzon, wind speed forecast is moderate to strong moving northeastward with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Sunrise will be at 6:24 AM, sunset at 5:44 p.m. — BAP, GMA Integrated News
