Shear line to bring rain showers over eastern part of Southern Luzon
A shear line is affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon on Monday and will bring rain showers, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.
The Bicol Region, Quezon, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Surigao del Sur will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies and shear line, which is the narrow zone where the Northeast Monsoon and easterlies meet. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon, and slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao.
