Rains expected over parts of PH due to Amihan, easterlies
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) is affecting parts of Northern and Central Luzon, while the easterlies are prevailing over the rest of the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Wednesday.
According to PAGASA's daily weather report, the easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas and Caraga.
The combined effects of the easterlies and localized thunderstorms will cause partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas, the rest of Mindanao, Bicol region, and Palawan.
The Northeast Monsoon may also cause cloudy skies with rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over the rest of Luzon.
Meanwhile, Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough seas, while the rest of the country is forecast to have light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
The sun will rise in Metro Manila at 6:19 a.m. on Thursday morning. — Jiselle Anne Casucian/ VDV, GMA Integrated News
