Rains expected over Luzon due to Northeast Monsoon

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect Luzon on Tuesday and will bring rains over several areas. Meanwhile, the easterlies are affecting the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides.

Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon, except for Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, the rest of Bicol Region, and Palawan, may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon.

Caraga, Eastern Visayas, Catanduanes, Albay, and Sorsogon will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Moderate to heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.

Meanwhile, the rest of Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Bicol Region, and Palawan may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be rough in Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon.

The rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to rough seas.

The rest of the country, meanwhile, will have slight to moderate coastal waters.
