Amihan to bring rains over Luzon, easterlies affecting Visayas, Mindanao
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) continues to affect Luzon on Monday and will bring rains. The easterlies meanwhile, will affect the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, according to PAGASA.
Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon will have cloudy skies with rains due to the monsoon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may lead to flash floods or landslides.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon excluding Palawan may expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Amihan.
Palawan, Visayas (except Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte), and Mindanao (except Caraga and Davao Region) will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.
Meanwhile, Caraga, Davao Region, Eastern Samar, Leyte, and Southern Leyte may expect cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the easterlies. Moderate to heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides.
Coastal waters will be rough in Northern Luzon, moderate to rough in the rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao, and slight to moderate in the rest of the country.
