Rain, cloudy conditions expected across Luzon

Luzon would be under the influence of the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan, which would bring cloudy conditions and rain over the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, and Quezon; and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rain over the rest of the island group, weather service PAGASA said in its Sunday afternoon forecast.

The Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Regions would meanwhile experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Easterlies.

The Easterlies, along with localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol Region, Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Winds would be strong from the northeast over Northern Luzon and the eastern section of Central Luzon. Coastal conditions in these areas would be rough.

Over the rest of Luzon and the eastern sections of the Visayas and Mindanao, winds would be moderate to strong    from the east to northeast with moderate to rough coastal conditions.

Winds would be light to moderate from the northeast over the rest of the country, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun would rise at 6:18 a.m. on Christmas Day. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
