No tropical cyclone seen for the rest of 2023, PAGASA says

The long Christmas weekend will have fair weather conditions as state weather bureau PAGASA forecasts no tropical cyclone for the remaining days of 2023.

"Wala po tayong inaasahang bagyo na papasok sa ating Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) hanggang sa matapos ang long weekend," said PAGASA weather forecaster Benison Estareja in its morning advisory on Friday.

(We don't expect any tropical cyclone to enter PAR until the end of the long weekend.)

PAGASA also said that the good weather conditions may continue until the end of the year.

"Inaasahan din po na hanggang sa katapusan ng 2023 mababa din ang tsansa na magkakaron tayo ng bagyo sa loob ng PAR," added Estareja.

(There's also a low chance of any tropical cyclone until the end of 2023.)

However, some parts of the country will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Shear Line and the Amihan.

"Asahan ang pinakamaulan na panahon sa eastern side of Luzon. Kabilang na ang probinsiya ng Cayagan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, at Camarines Norte dahil sa Shear Line," Estajera said.

(We expect rainy weather on the eastern side of Luzon particularly in Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarine Norte because of the Shear Line.)

Metro Manila, the rest of Ilocos Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the Northeast Monsoon, according to PAGASA. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
