PAGASA: Easterlies, localized thunderstorms to spur rains over Philippines

The easterlies — or the winds blowing from the east —  may trigger rains across the country, state weather bureau PAGASA said Monday.

in its 4 p.m. bulletin, PAGASA said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms may prevail over Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA warned the public that this may cause flash floods or landslides in the affected areas, especially during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and coastal water conditions may be experienced over the country’s seaboards.

The sun will set at 5:28 p.m. It will rise on Tuesday at 6:11 a.m.—Sundy Locus/AOL, GMA Integrated News
