Amihan to bring light rains over extreme Northern Luzon

The northeast monsoon (amihan) will bring light rains over extreme Northern Luzon on Friday, PAGASA reported.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon but with no significant impact.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate to strong moving in the east to northeast direction with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving in the east to northeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
