PAGASA: PH to experience warmer December

The Philippines will be experiencing a warmer holiday season, according to PAGASA weather specialist Joey Figuracion on Thursday.

In a public briefing, Figuracion said that cold surges will still occur with winds blowing from the wintery areas in the northern hemisphere due to the Amihan season.

Despite this, the forecast temperature reading for the month of December will be from 12°C to 36°C.

“Mas warmer ang ating December kaysa sa normal, pero asahan pa rin natin 'yung mga cold surges. Ang cold surges natin, asahan natin itong December until February,” Figuracion said.

In Metro Manila, the forecast will range from 17°C to 36.5°C, with the lowest temperature dropping to 17.1°C.

Meanwhile, PAGASA expects one to two other typhoons to enter the country before the end of the year.
