Shear line, Amihan to bring rain showers over Luzon

Luzon will have rain showers on Sunday due to the shear line and Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA said in its weather forecast.

Aurora, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, Oriental Mindoro, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, and Catanduanes will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the shear line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Moderate to at times heavy rains may possibly lead to flash floods or landslides.

Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Ifugao may expect cloudy skies with rains due to the Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon. Flash floods or landslides may result due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, the rest of Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of Calabarzon on the other hand will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the monsoon.

The rest of the country meanwhile will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms. During severe thunderstorms, flash floods or landslides may result.

Coastal waters will be moderate to rough in Luzon, and slight to moderate in Visayas and Mindanao.
